Grava is an independent, unofficial game backlog tracker with a community for sharing what you play. We keep data collection to a minimum. Your library and progress stay on your device (and, if you sign in, sync privately to your account); what leaves it is the account you create and what you choose to share. This policy explains what we handle and your choices.
Your library, favorites, tracked progress, play sessions, and interest selections are stored on your device. If you sign in, they also sync privately to your account so they follow you across devices — they are never shown to anyone else. Uninstalling the app, or using Delete my data in the app, removes the on-device copy.
Browsing the catalog needs no account. To rate games, post or comment, you create an account with an email address, a password, and a display name — or by continuing with Google. We store:
We never ask for your real name or phone number, and your password is handled securely by our authentication provider (we never see it).
When you use Grava’s community we also store:
Moments are visible to the audience you choose: everyone, the players who follow you, or a group.
When you are signed in, Grava records which moments you see in the Social feeds and for how long, and whether you open, share, reveal or hide them, or tap their game or author. We use this only to rank the For You feed and to understand what players find useful. We keep it for 90 days, never use it for advertising, and never sell it. Your library and story progress are used to rank For You on your device and are not sent to us for it. The Following and Latest feeds are never personalised.
If you subscribe to Grava Pro, Google Play handles the payment — we never see your card or payment details. RevenueCat, our subscription service, receives the purchase details from Google Play (which plan, price, dates, and a purchase token) together with your Grava account identifier, so your subscription follows your account across devices. We store only whether, and until when, you are a Pro subscriber, which shows a Pro badge on your community profile.
What you post — together with your display name and handle — is visible to the audience you chose. We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for advertising.
Comments are filtered for profanity, and every moment and comment can be reported and its author blocked from inside the app. Reported content is reviewed and removed if it breaks the Community Guidelines or Terms of Use; when one of your moments is hidden, you are told why and can appeal. Evidence of child sexual abuse material is preserved and reported to the authorities as the law requires — see our Child Safety Standards.
On-device data exists only on your device. Your account, ratings, comments and moments are kept until you delete them; feed activity is deleted after 90 days. You can delete your own moments and comments any time, and you can remove your account and all of your data via About → Delete account & data in the app, or by following our data deletion instructions.
Grava is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children; you must be 13 or older to post. Please do not include personal information in moments or comments.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
